Death Cab has always been a Steady Eddie kind of band. They really opened my eyes live, though, they've amassed quite a repitoire of very good songs. And I think I've actually enjoyed their more recent stuff more than a lot of their heydey. A bit more of an edge to it, I think.

I thought about creating a sub-category for EPs. That would be pushing it.

I've had a thing my whole life where every now and then I mishear a lyric such that I think the singer is singing my name. It bothers me a bit, and I can't unhear it, and I'll go track down the lyric and even after confirming I'm wrong, I still can't unhear it. Anyway, I was pleasantly shocked that yes! For once! I'm not crazy! The chorus to Ninety Bucks: "Nathan, you're my only friend" -- aww.
Anyway, I thought I was a bit late to this one, and now I'm seeing that it's almost a decade old. Frig.

Never quite dug these guys quite as much as the critics do. Hard to have a passion for their music. I bet its real good live though, and I'll be seeing them tour with Metric and Stars in the sort of concert listing that, back when BSS was new, I would have been making fun of my parents for being excited about. This album's pretty good though!
