It's a pretty neat trick. Kind of a bog standard JRPG with bog standard anime goofball characters. Goes on way too long. Way too many little NPC chat bubbles to go about reading. And then by hour 60 or whatever you are living and dying over every single twist and don't you dare say anything mean about Estelle.

I can replay this game probably once a year and never tire of it. The simple joy of the bullet time mechanics, even in this original sludgy form, still hits. The story that I've always felt best described as taking itself just too seriously enough. The legendary James McCaffrey performance that chews the scenery just too much enough. I don't want them to ever remake it, but I guess Remedy needs money.
