When I was young I thought Source Tags & Codes was an all-time great album. But as I got older, I kind of mellowed on it. Even at the time though, I thought their followup, Worlds Apart, was bloated, overwrought nonsense. But as I got older, I kind of mellowed on it in the other way. It's fine. But I kind of stopped paying attention to Trail of Dead at that point.
Saw this on the used CD shelf, and was kind of like, "Oh yeah! These guys still exist. Why not give it a try?" Great decision! This album is pretty fun! Bloated, but fun!
