Nothing - A Short History of Decay

A funny thing about me. Usually, it only takes one song that I listen to and go, "yeah alright", and I'll try the whole album. And sometimes, if that song is really good, I'll still have a fondness for you even if the rest of the album fell flat. And then I will be weirdly loyal to you, buying each subsequent release, even when they still don't land. These guys, I'll say to myself, I wonder if they've got another XYZ in them.
For the band Nothing, that song was Guilty of Everything. Greatest song of all time. Rest of the album was OK-ish. Subsequent albums, meh.
This one, though. This one slaps. The fusion of shoegaze, metal, and poop. Mwah. Sounds kind of like a long lost MBV album in parts. Glad I stuck with these guys.
Four Stars.
