I used to subscribe to that Vinyl Me, Please record club thing, before it went belly up. I think that's how this one landed in my basement, but I guess I had forgotten about it and didn't really listen to it until now, several years later, plus it was already a "classic" when they made it the record of the month. Classic Columbia House situation, where if I'd been on the ball I probably would have swapped it out for something different, but didn't.

Turns out, it's pretty good! Classic for a reason. Not really my primary wheelhouse, but a good time. Weirdly enough, I was playing Marathon a lot while this record was on rotation, and I hear a lot of influence to the soundtrack on it, despite a very different aesthetic. Mainly just the ethereal "doos" but more than that around the edges. Anyway, just a good chill vibe.
